Youth Group at HTC exists to help our 6th-12th graders engage with the Gospel of Jesus in order to face the many challenges of life.
We meet in the heart of Chicago to create a space where students can be known and loved, find meaningful relationships with peers and leaders, and grow in their faith. The primary Youth Group rhythm is a night of fun, fellowship, and discipleship on Thursdays from 7pm-8:30pm, at 218 S Wabash on the 2nd floor.
Our Goals.
-
Shaping our ministry around every student’s greatest need - understanding for themselves the Good News of Jesus Christ that has the power to transform all of life.
-
Fostering a space where students want to be - where they can have fun, be themselves, and ask honest questions about faith
-
Communicating God’s Word in ways that are understandable and relevant for teenagers in middle school and high school
-
Equipping volunteer leaders to develop meaningful discipleship relationships with students, and creating a community of teens unified by the love of Jesus
-
Connecting youth ministry to the broader life of the local church, by serving parents and helping teens engage with the whole family of God
-
Creating and encouraging opportunities for students to live out the gospel by serving in the church, their schools, and beyond
